Elizabeth A. Junkin

Biography 

Elizabeth Junkin’s practice is focused primarily on tax disputes, including tax litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Junkin was counsel in the Tax Law Services Section at the Federal Department of Justice where she represented the Minister of National Revenue/Canada Revenue Agency. She has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada and has more than 75 reported decisions. Elizabeth worked from 2001 to 2011 at a major Canadian law firm, representing the interests of taxpayers.

In 1996, Ms. Junkin was awarded a Merit Award for Client Service by the Department of Justice Canada.

She received her BA (Criminology) from Simon Fraser University in 1984 and her LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1989. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990.
